Emily isn't feeling old (just a bit old-ER), her momma and daddy are feeling old though. Not only did Emily turn 5 at the end of July, she's been learning to swim and will start Kindergarten in a week. HOLY CRAP! A week?!?! I'm going to hurry and get to the pictures because I've got things to do! (By the way, hope you like the new format of the blog.)
(Emily and co. at her friend Daniel's b-day party)
(The kids got to dig for dinosaur bones at the museum)
(Emily and her friend Daniel.)
Emily has been taking some serious swim lessons this summer. After recovering from her broken arm, Rachel and I started taking her to the pool more often and enrolled her in swim classes. 4 weeks of Mon. - Thurs. classes and then once a week during the fall. She's done 3 weeks of the 4 intensive weeks so far and is doing well.
(Making that teacher work hard.)
(So glad she has that much fun in the water.)
Finally, Emily is 5 years old! This year, Rachel did a fantastic job with the cake and we got her some new bedroom furniture for her present. PiƱatas were broken.
(Home made decorations, right there!)
(Time to sing horribly! YAY!)
(Emily enjoys her unicorn Pillow Pet.)
(Got some cool water slide toys for the bath.)
(Emily discovers her new bedroom furniture and likes it.)
(She got the hang of it pretty quickly.)
So, enjoy the long post in place of regular postings. Hope everyone else is surviving this brutally hot summer and feel free to leave a comment about the pictures and video above or to tell us how you're doing!
